Freemasonic initiation

I had a meeting with a Freemason in the main Lodge or Freemason hall in my city. And the Man asked me why I wanted to join? I told him that I had a vision or dream that I owned a futuristic Godown and it was like Paradise! And some supernatural occurence and said to him I thought it was linked to Freemasonry?

Then a few weeks later I emailed him and he replied and said he thought that I shouldnt proceed further because he said my main motivation for becoming a freemason was from a dream which meant I didnt have a deep lying conviction from oneself which they were looking for. And the second reason was that he believed I couldnt afford the Regular dues. But he also said that I shouldnt lose heart and talk to 2 masons that would support my case that live in the city, but I only know 1 mason thats from my city on face book! He also said I had time on my side! Please sdvise me further!

Hello and thank you for your post
Becoming a Freemason means joining a fraternity. The purpose of the questions is to determine the suitability of a candidate to become a Freemason. I don't know if he explained the requirements, but I will to ensure clarification. These, by the way are for the United States. A candidate MUST be a man, free born, of legal age, of good moral character, believing in a Supreme Being, coming to the fraternity of his own free will and accord.
No profstic callings, no dreams. We are NOT a religion, NOT a secret society, NOT a cult. We ARE a fraternity, a members only club. We are very selective as to who we bring into our fraternity.
The letter you received was simply am indication that the lodge did not think that you would fit the mold of the membership. Not everyone who petitions a lodge, is accepted, for a myriad of reasons. It's the decision of a committee, generally after visiting a candidate and asking certain questions.
Quite frankly, your answer would have disqualified you from joining my Lodge.

Good luck in your endeavors

Fred

The most powerful and influential society in the world? That's very kind of you, I guess, but on what evidence are you basing that claim?

I read your question but I don’t know about this issue, but I know that Freemasons are members of the Freemasonry fraternal association, it is not known where the association initially originated from but rather it is by and large acknowledged that the Freemasons originated from the hotels of the stonemasons.

The reason of Freemasonry is to improved man as well as the world he lives in. Masons do not anything that is risky or mad. The whole thing that is done in the lodge has a considerable meaning. There is not anything to panic. The intention is to inform man, not harm him.
