Masonic News & Views - Home repair 911
June 30, 2014

Hope you won't mind, but this week's News & Views is going to be brief. We've had a bit of a home repair emergency here at the CowChows, and it seems every contractor on the west coast is already booked for the summer. So, the Lady BG and I broke out our toolbelts and dived in. You can see the current state of our bathroom in the photo below.

But, here's a few things that have come my way recently:

If your travels will be taking you in the direction of Phoenix, Arizona during the month of July you might be interested in catching the Scottish Rite Picnic. It's an annual event and will take place on July 26 at the Scottish Rite Center, Building 'G', 14001 N 7TH AT, PHOENIX, AZ, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. It's an indoor picnic so no need to sweat the Arizona heat. For more information give 'em a call: 602-212-1073 Ext. 203.

Friend Lodge No. 352 A.F.& A.M., in Ozark, Missouri has a spiffy new website to go with the newly acquired lodge building. Check it out at And if you are so inclined while you're there, donations are still welcome toward the remodel of the building. Just look for the big red button on the home page.

If you're not yet receiving the weekly newsletter from Brother Mike Durbin of Friend Lodge No. 352, I think you would find it well worth your time. Here's a link to a recent edition. And, you can subscribe to receive future issues here.

And last but not least, if you're interested in the latest installment of the CowChows chronicles you can go to and read about our little outing to the beach and my misguided effort to educate a little blond-haired girl.

See ya next week, I hope.

Fraternally yours,

Tim Couch
