Masonic News & Views - Thanks Dad
June 17, 2012
Greetings Brother,

Happy Father's Day!

I called my Dad today for Father's Day. I said, "Happy Father's Day Dad; I love you." What I should have said, what always seems to go unsaid is, "Thank you."

Thank you Dad for your sacrifices in order to provide for our family. I know you went without things, and I know you had dreams that went unfulfilled because you chose to do the right things in life. I know you loved us and I know you don't regret the choices you made, but I also know that being a good Dad isn't easy. You have to give up a little part of yourself in order to be a good Dad, and I just wanted to say Thank you.

Thank you for all the things you taught me, either directly or by setting an example. No one is perfect and no one can be, but I know you always did your best by us and I know that I would not be the man I am if not for your love and guidance.

So, thanks Dad for all that you gave and on this day of honoring and remembering I hope you know that I always remember you with love and fondness.

Your son,
